Tim Burchett is an East Tennessee native who grew up in Knoxville. He lives in the Gibbs Community of Knox County with his wife, Kelly, and their daughter, Isabel.

Tim is a successful small businessman who served 8 years as mayor of Knox County. Thanks to natural growth and good stewardship of taxpayer dollars, his administration built new schools, launched infrastructure projects, and paid down debt — all without raising taxes.

He served 4 years in the State House, and 12 years in the State Senate before taking office in the U.S. Congress in January, 2019.

Rep. Burchett currently serves on:

• The Foreign Affairs Committee
• The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

Transportation & Infrastructure Committee. Rep. Burchett continues to prioritize the modernization of our infrastructure in Tennessee and across the United States, while making sure these projects are cost effective for the taxpayer.

House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. In alignment with the Trump Administration’s goals, Congressman Burchett is working to ensure an efficient and effective federal government built on accountability and transparency.

House Foreign Affairs Committee. Rep. Burchett is working to ensure the safety and security of Americans at home and abroad from the looming threats posed by our foreign adversaries.
